Youth-In-Care
Our Youth in Care are the future of this community; the CAS and Foundation must act as their parents. We
fund a life skills program to help connect these youth to their community and better prepare them for adult life. Dealing with issues such as applying to university; budgeting; peer pressure; healthy nutrition; first aid and more; individually or in group settings with volunteers acting as mentors, the youth are encouraged to
reach for their dreams and set out on the path to success. For example, a $600 donation allows 3 youth to
participate in this program for a year. When youth leave care, no financial help is available. We provide personalized Life Start Kits filled with the
basic necessities for setting up their own homes. For example, a $1,000 donation allows two youths to receive Kits to assist their transition to independent living.
