What is the C.A.F. of Halton and what do we do?

There are many ways that you can help prevent child abuse and neglect. One of the most far-reaching ways is by donations. Your financial contributions will help us help more children; by funding more programs or enabling more children to participate in existing programs in more neighbourhoods. Your financial contribution will directly impact children and the success stories show how every penny counts.

The Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton raises funds for the Society’s programs, activities currently not covered by government funding. For example; one of the key programs funded is one that helps young adults transition successfully to life independently of the Halton Children’s Aid Society; proof that donations make real, life changing and wonderfully positive differences to the lives of the children we serve.

The Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton consists of an enthusiastic Board of volunteer professionals who plan fund development activities to increase the much needed funds for our children and families. The Board approaches individuals, corporations, foundations and other philanthropic groups, such as churches and schools, to ensure we have the funds necessary to sustain our current programs and create new and exciting ways to give our children the childhood they deserve. Funds are also raised through special events such as bingos, raffles, races, golf tournaments and a multitude of other creative endeavors.
